EQ-400 Laser-Driven Light Source from Energetiq sparks OEM interest

Energetiq’s newly introduced EQ-400 high power, ultra-bright Laser-Driven Light Source (LDLS™) is beginning to garner interest among semicon OEMs in the UK and Ireland.

Based on the existing and highly successful LDLS™ series, the EQ-400 offers the highest radiance and irradiance available in a true broadband white light source. The EQ-400 features a compact lamp housing built with clean construction techniques to ensure long lamp life and stability. With a 170-2100 nm wavelength range, and a choice of dual-beam output or higher power single-beam output with retro-reflector, the EQ-400 is suitable for a wide variety of applications.

  • High spectral radiance: > 100 mW/mm2.sr.nm from 100 µm aperture
  • Spectral power: > 10 mW/nm from a 500 µm aperture
  • Very low noise: < 0.02%
  • Small plasma: 300 x 800 µm FWHM

If you have an OEM application that requires stable and ultra-bright illumination, please contact us as we have the solution.

Tomorrow and Wednesday, visit Elliot Scientific at SPIE Astronomical Telescopes + Instrumentation in Edinburgh

sky-night-space-galaxyFor only two days during the prestigious SPIE Astronomical Telescopes + Instrumentation conference in Edinburgh, will developers and users of telescopes and instrumentation be able to visit our stand at the event’s exhibition. Elliot Scientific is featuring products from leading companies such as Energetiq Technology, Gamma ScientificLake Shore Cryotronics and Vescent Photonics.

EQ99XFC_SQFrom tomorrow, our team will be on hand to discuss how the technologies available through Elliot Scientific can help deliver measurement solutions for the problems scientists encounter involving light, magnetic fields, or cryogenic temperatures. We will also be demonstrating two novel light sources – a revolutionary broadband ultra-bright plasma-based lamp and a new tunable LED system that can be programmed to mimic virtually any illuminant or reflected spectrum, plus spectroscopy and laser modules, and more.

The SPIE Astronomical Telescopes + Instrumentation Exhibition take places at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre on Tuesday and Wednesday, June 28th & 29th. For more information, please contact us.

Mad City Labs introduce new low profile 3-axis nanopositioner

Ideal for applications in optical trapping, microscopy, fluorescence imaging, single molecule spectroscopy and super resolution microscopy (SRM), the new Nano-LPMW from Mad City Labs is a unique 3-axis nanopositioning system designed to hold multiwell plates, slides, dishes and environmental chambers.

MCL-LPMWThe Nano-LPMW has a low profile and extra-large centre aperture with 200 micron range of motion in all three axes. The low height of the Nano- LPMW Series allows it to be easily integrated into existing inverted optical microscopes and is compatible with a large range of microscope stages.

Like the related Nano-LPS Series, the Nano-LPMW is ideal for demanding microscopy applications which require long range travel, high stability, and three axes of motion.

The Nano-LPMW is the only 3-axis nanopositioning system which can hold multiwell plates and incubators, and deliver precise and repeatable motion. A function made possible through closed loop control combined with PicoQ® position sensors.
