From Sunday, July 16th to Thursday the 20th., the British Biophysical Society and the Biological Physics Group of the Institute of Physics (IOP) will host an outstanding scientific programme for this major international combined biophysics event. All areas of contemporary biophysics will be included in a varied programme covering single molecule studies to complex machineries.
Elliot Scientific will be demonstrating a complete system from our Optical Tweezers range that features tracking and force measurement on exhibition days: Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. You can also ask us about nanopositioning equipment for the microscope from Mad City Labs, as well as LED light sources and instruments designed for microscopy and optogenetics studies from Prizmatix, the LDLS – a novel super bright broadband lamp from Energetiq Technologies, and Spatial Light Modulators from HOLOEYE.
We can be found on Stand 40 within the Edinburgh International Conference Centre.

It has been a number of years since we last updated our website and a lot has happened in that time. Wide screen monitors for computers are now de rigueur, tablet and mobile devices are ubiquitous, and scientific research requires a more multi-disciplinary approach.

The world’s first commercially available 508 TPI (0.05 mm pitch) ultra-fine adjustment screw sets are now available to in the UK and Ireland through Elliot Scientific.
Proprietary manufacturing on customised machine tools enables Kozak Micro to produce adjusters in a variety of pitches that are superior to industry standards. Thread classes exceed the highest 3A-3B Unified Thread Standard (UTS) by as much as 50%.
Elliot Scientific offers 6 imperial and 4 metric thread pitch ranges of matched-set micropositioning adjustment screws and unbraked bushings that deliver the highest precision and smoothest movement by far for the most demanding of OEM applications. Contact us now for more information.
The Elliot Scientific March newsletter is now available as a PDF. This issue details the new Janis Research Company’s hybrid cryostat, Energetiq’s award winning EQ-99 LDLS light source, forthcoming events and highlights of the International Year of Chemistry.
