Tomorrow, we’re at Photonics Ireland 2017 in Galway

Photonics Ireland is a biennial conference that this year is being held from tomorrow (13th September) at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Galway.

Elliot Scientific is exhibiting at this premier event for Photonics research in Ireland, and we will be demonstrating a broad range of products; both our own and from companies we represent – some exclusively – in the British Isles.

High profile national and international speakers will showcase some of their latest research and achievements in Photonics. Topics will include:

  • Biophotonics and Optical Sensing
  • Imaging
  • Laser-Materials and Laser-Plasma Interactions
  • Nanophotonics and Plasmonics
  • Optical Communications and Networks
  • Photonic Integration and Packaging
  • Photonic Devices and Photonic Materials
  • Quantum Optics and Technologies

Gamma Scientific’s tunable LED light source in webinar demo on September 12th

Gamma Scientifics' RS-7 SpectralLEd light sourceGamma Scientific, in conjunction with Laser Focus World magazine, are delivering an exciting Webinar presentation on Tuesday, September 12th that will provide in-depth product information, typical applications, and visual demonstrations of the flexible software and production interface capabilities that give the RS-7 SpectralLED™ Tunable LED Light Source so many advantages over traditional halogen and other LED light sources.

Register for the Webinar here.

The RS-7 SpectralLED™ delivers superior spectral resolution and accuracy with higher brightness and a broader colour gamut than any other currently available halogen or LED-based source for camera and image sensor calibration.

The RS-7 features 35 discrete LED channels, each having 16-bit resolution in intensity settings enabling it to be programmed to produce a uniform output that closely matches virtually any illuminant source in a single compact and versatile instrument.

SpectralLED™ can sweep through wavelengths to simulate a scanning monochromator, but with the advantage of no moving parts. In addition to superior spectral resolution and accuracy, the SpectralLED™ also offers about 10x higher brightness than any competitive product. This allows measurements over a much larger, linear dynamic range, and is sufficient to illuminate virtually any detector at levels up to saturation.
